How Does Mediation Work?

Mediation involves both parties, whom with the help of the mediator, work out issues for themselves and their children instead of them handing over control of their lives and their future to attorneys and judges in the courts.

The Mediator does not take sides or tell people what to do.

The Mediator’s role is to REDUCE CONFLICT by helping couples address the issues that need to be settled .
They help couples to work towards financial settlements and focus on children’s feelings and needs which in turn encourages parents to cooperate with one another and to formulate agreements which will be in the best interests of their children.
